"Filling" Good!
Two rainy Mondays ago, it was a holiday so Yelie and I decided to have a nice "date day." We didn't want to waste away the beautiful day so we went out for brunch, coffee and a movie. :)
We decided to eat at this cute diner along Burgos Street (right smack in the red light district of Makati) called the Filling Station.
The place is easy to miss amidst all the bars in the area and parking's pretty challenging, but once you're inside, it's warm and cozy and it brings you to several decades back. You'd want to wear a red polka dot dress and just sip milkshakes all day long.
Anyway, our tummies were grumbling already, so we browsed through the menu and ordered. I got the "Midget Burgers" and E got the "Bel-Air" (Chicken Schnitzel).
After the waiter took our orders, there's a lot of pretty stuff around the area that kept us entertained.
You'll see vintage motorcycles, vinyl records, posters of old movies, life-sized statues of various super heroes plus Elvis...and more. Just enough to keep you occupied until your order arrives.
On the way out, E took photos of the cool stair case and posters of some movies I like.
I love that place, but we had to leave. We then got our free coffee at Coffee Bean Greenbelt followed by a movie (Super 8) at Glorietta.
Who says we need to stay home when it rains?:)
xoxo,
